When I was a little boy, I would always see the Roman Forum in Rome.
I remember my mother bringing me to Rome on the first day of kindergarten, and I was just so fascinated with the Roman people.
I would go up and visit them every day.
I loved going up to the Forum, but I had no idea where I was going to find it.
I was actually going to go and visit the Forum for a museum exhibition.
When I finally got there, I found it really, really, weird.
There were all these little little tables and chairs and statues that I didn’t recognize.
So I just sat down at the desk, and the teacher was going through these lists of names.
And I realized that I was missing a lot of history.
I had to go back and look it up.
So, for my fourth grade class, I went and got an entire book.
And there it was.
It was a history book from the late 1500s.
And it was all written by people who were here in Rome, in Rome in the late 1800s.
I got the book, I flipped through it, and in the back of it there was a picture of the Forum.
And so, I was like, I have to do a history project.
I’ve been wanting to do that since I was in elementary school.
So when I finally did it, I had the whole world to work with.
